Lavondyss – WHO?

Wikipedia says:

Lavondyss also titled Lavondyss: Journey to an Unknown Region is the second fantasy novel of the Mythago Wood series by award winning author Robert Holdstock originally published in 1988. The name of the novel hints at the real and mythological locales of Avon, Lyonesse, Avalon and Dis; within the novel Lavondyss is the name of the remote, ice-age heart of Ryhope wood.

Also, Lavondyss is the name of a band from Rugby, and a little be different to the novel.

“Lavondyss Are a 5-Piece Hardcore/Progressive band based in Rugby, Warwickshire. We formed in 2006, and immediately began performing live, finding ourselves jumping around on countless stages across the UK… And we haven’t wanted to do anything else since.”

I did a Photo shoot with the guys from Rubgy a while ago, with Support from Wolf at the door, they have sorted out a fine Mini-album, and video to match. They also seem to attracting more and more attention from the UK press.

“It’s been surreal. Unfortunately we seem to have just missed the mark on trying to create a “War of the Worlds” esque panick, but so far we’ve had nothing but positive responses about the album and we can’t wait to follow it all up with some tours and let people see our set the way it was meant to be seen… Live.

I have heard however that we’re going to be mercilessly slated in ROCKSOUND. Luckily, I don’t think I know a single person who’s ever bought one! haha “
